Dalhousie used to be a part of Punjab till 1966, when it was excised from Punjab by the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966. Own Car or taxi

The best and the most likely way to get to Dalhousie is to drive your own car with your friends and family and enjoy the sweet sound of flowing river. The roads of Dalhousie are well maintained. It is around 84 km from Pathankot which takes about 2 hr 30 min. So enjoy your trip and take stops and capture the scenic beauty whenever possible.

Via Flight

The flight is a medium which makes your travel easy and reliable. Though Dalhousie does not have its own airport but one can deboard at airports in nearby cities. The nearest airport to Dalhousie is in Pathankot which is 84 km and visitor can grab a taxi to Dalhousie. Since Pathankot has only connectivity to Delhi one can also deboard at Kangra airport which is around 140 kilometres from the town. Bus facility is avaiable in Kangra at reasonable price.

Via Train

If one wants to go by relaxing the whole trip then Train is relatively the best option. The  nearest station to dalhousie is Pathankot railhead which is around 70 kilometres from the town. Many superfast, deluxe and express trains are well linked with most of the Indian cities including Jammu, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhatinda, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur.
